Conditional Warranty Policy
Our warranty is a one time, in-store credit, worth half the total value of the plant material for one year after date of purchase. This does not include the cost of delivery and planting.
Sherwood nurseries takes 50% responsibility by providing customers with healthy plant material. The remaining responsibility is placed on the individual for the proper care and watering of all plants after time of purchase.
Warranty items will not be looked at nor redeemed until after May 31st.

TERMS OF SALE
PROPER PLANTING AND WATERING GUIDELINES MUST BE FOLLOWED, OR THE WARRANTY IS VOID.
WARRANTY: 1 year on trees/shrubs. A one-time store credit for 50% of the original purchase price will be provided. (Excluding any delivery and planting costs)
Cedars, vines, and borderline hardy plants are guaranteed for 90 days of the same year purchase.
Original bill of sale must be presented along with product.
WARRANTY VOID FOR: SALE/DISCOUNTED ITEMS, improper planting, over or under watering, late spring frost, hail, insects, disease like fungus, rodents, wood mulch used up to the trunk of the plant, rock mulch placed over the root ball, use of weed barrier over the top of the root ball, improper transportation causing wind burn or damage, planted in areas with inadequate drainage.
Extended warranties are offered at 15% of the cost of the plant.
Exchanges considered only on potted plants with bill of sale within 2 days of purchase. Plants must be in the same state as when purchased and not have been removed from their pot.
No CASH refunds on plant material, only exchanges or store credit.
Tree/plant orders/holds require a 50% non-refundable deposit. Must be picked up within 5 days of deposit/purchase or a 20% service fee will apply, unless prior arrangements have been made.
Any tagged trees or plants that are picked out to be picked up at a later date or delivered must be paid in full and picked up within 7 days (exceptions on wire basket trees). Items not picked up within that time will incur a 20% service fee.
There is a 90 day warranty on the following types of plant material:
- Cedars
- Vines
- Borderline hardy plants
- Perennials
No warranty on:
- Sale/discounted items
- Annuals
- Seeds
- Bulbs
No warranty is provided for the following:
- Improper planting
- Over or under watering
- Late spring frost or hail damage
- Insect damage
- Disease (fungus)
- Rodent damage
- Improper mulching
To redeem your warranty:
Please call to get advice first — your plant may still be alive. Please provide pictures of the plant material, so that we can determine the possible cause of sickness/death. If Sherwood Nurseries advises the use of your warranty after giving advice/reviewing pictures, we require proof of purchase (your original invoice).
